We, the citizens of Elyria, are proud to call Elyria our home. We believe that Mayor Grace has provided stable leadership in tough times. He has brought in more than $33-million in grants to help fund key projects in our city like the new Route 57. The city has operated within its means and has balanced its budget each year – the fiscal responsibility we all demand.
We are in tough economic times and a recall effort is very costly and unwarranted. A small but vocal group in our community is putting a personal grudge and personal ambitions before the welfare of our hardworking families. This unwarranted recall will cost honest taxpayers approximately $50,000 – a waste of our valuable tax dollars. Plus remember, that our voices were heard and our votes were counted when the mayor was re-elected just two years ago.
A recall would be a major step backwards for Elyria. We can’t afford this wasteful recall. We believe in our mayor and our community. Vote “YES” to keep Mayor Grace working for us.
